As part of the Air Series, which originates from Luminox’s partnership with renowned fighter aircraft manufacturer Lockheed Martin, The Automatic Constellation features an extreme luminosity that lasts up to 25 years thanks to the Luminox Light Technology (LLT) self-powered illumination system, and a Swiss automatic movement.

Luminox draws inspiration from one of Lockheed’s most revolutionary aircraft of all time: the legendary CONSTELLATION®. The plane, affectionately nicknamed “Connie”, was a turning point in civil and military aviation, setting speed records including a flight from Burbank, CA to Washington, DC in just under 7 hours at an average speed of 331 mph in 1944. Howard Hughes, who played a key role in bringing the aircraft to market, piloted this flight. Known for its high performance and beautiful design, this aircraft is an industry legend.

What could be better:

None really, this watch ticks all the boxes. Only one question: as this watch features a screw-in-crown: why not offering 200m / 660ft water resistance right away? Perhaps it is a marketing decision, in order to avoid competition with some of their own watches.
