Features of a Survival Watch
As there won’t be any watch shops where to change batteries, we selected only solar-powered or automatic movements. Ideally, you want your watch to have a black dial and a matte finish, to avoid reflections that disclose your location to those biters. We also avoided digital or smartwatches: you won’t have any internet, and who needs counting steps and calories when you will be running all day for your life anyway? And, again, you won’t need anything making peep noises while you are hiding!

Scratch-resistant mineral crystals are important, as you will not treat your watch with care while smashing zombies’ heads. The only exception is the Vostok, which has an acrylic crystal that, although not very scratch resistant, it is just about impossible to break due to its 3-millimetre thickness.
You’ll also need watch straps made of canvas or rubber, forget about any leather straps that will not withstand the constant blood splashing and crawling through draining pipes.
